Job Overview
EXPERIENCE in Children's Residential Care IS ESSENTIAL
We are a 5 bed (EBD) Children’s Residential Home registered with Ofsted. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Experienced Senior Residential Support Workers to join our team who have the passion, drive and enthusiasm needed to provide outstanding care to our Children.
Hours of work are an average of 40 hours per week, rota based, to meet the needs of the home. You are required to work any day of the week. You are required to sleep-in at the home when on duty.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires a proactive approach to care, ensuring that the needs of each individual are met with dignity and respect.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs.
- Engage with children in a positive manner, promoting their social and emotional development through play and educational activities.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive to various locations as required for home visits or community activities.
- Utilise IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Skills and Requirements
- Min NVQ Level 3 in Children's Social Care
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence
- Must already be authorised to work in the UK at the time of application to be considered
- Experience in working with looked after children, in a residential children’s home aged 8 – 18 is essential
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and families.
- Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence for transportation purposes.
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans is advantageous.
- IT proficiency for maintaining records and facilitating communication within the team.
