Tea Time Club Assistant – Summer 2025

Would you like to work with a group of wonderful children in order to help them to have a happy and settled after-school experience? If so, we are looking for a Tea Time Club Assistant to join our team. The role is for 2 hours and 30 minutes each day (3:15 PM until 5:45 PM).

Role Specifics Days: Monday – Thursday Time: 10 hours per week: 2 hours and 30 minutes per day (at the end of the school day) Pay Grade: Grade 1 – (£24,027 pro rata)

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.

Description of role

To work under the instruction/guidance of senior staff to deliver after-school provision.

To be responsible for the care and supervision of the children before, during and after meals, in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.

To encourage the participation of pupils in the social processes related to childcare. Duties and Responsibilities

Work in partnership with staff to provide effective support with learning activities;

Support for the School/Setting

General

Comply with health and safety policy and systems, report any incidents/accidents/hazards and take pro-active approach to health and safety matters in order to protect both yourself and others.

Demonstrate and promote commitment to safeguarding procedures and principles and equal opportunities and to the elimination of behaviour and practices that could be discriminatory.

Any other duties deemed appropriate towards the provision of a high quality service.

Have excellent timekeeping.
