Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and alteration, with an eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. As a Tailor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive perfectly fitted garments that meet their specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform alterations on a variety of garments, including suits, dresses, and casual wear to achieve the desired fit.
- Work on industrial sewing machine, overlocker and covers titch.
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice on style and fit.
- Maintain sewing equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Keep an organised workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Handle fabric cutting, stitching, and finishing processes with care.
- Assist in managing inventory of fabrics and materials required for tailoring projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role within the fashion industry.
- Proficient in using sewing machines and hand-stitching techniques.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fitting techniques, and fabric types.
- Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
