Teaching Assistant for Deaf Pupils
Nova Primary Academy Deaf Hub is excited to grow our team of signing teaching assistants. The Hub offers 10 places to Deaf pupils with EHCPs and provides centre of expertise support for meeting Deaf pupil needs in Peterborough. During 2023-24, the Hub has offered the following opportunities for Deaf pupils:
- A careers / PfA tour of Anglian Ruskin University.
- Teddy Bears’ Picnic for pre-school and KS1 pupils.
- Deaf peer time, weekly.
- Deaf and Proud workshops.
- Rock Steady music workshop.
- Careers Interviews.
This position will allow the school to ensure Deaf pupils can access the mainstream curriculum through high-quality signing and support, and develop the outreach we can offer. The salary is dependent on experience and qualifications, and could be a Level 3 position for the right candidate.

- The appointment is for 32 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
8.30 am to 3.30 pm, Monday - Friday
