Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Support Worker to join us in our Children's Home near Purley. We're a small team in a new home that is OFSTED registered as Good with Outstanding Leadership and Management and we're all passionate about working together to provide the best care and opportunities for children. This position requires a proactive individual who can build relationships quickly, communicate effectively, follow care plans, and foster a nurturing environment.
Duties
- Provide direct support to children in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Engage with children through activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support.
- Drive to different locations as required for activities or appointments.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents that may occur during support sessions.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance the quality of care provided.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or working with children is essential.
- Familiarity with developing and following care plans is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with children and families.
- IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and communicating within the team.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.
