Who Are We Looking For?
Someone who genuinely wants to change lives—a person who sees beyond challenges to the potential in every young person. If you’re ready to build meaningful relationships, bring warmth and consistency, and be a steady presence in the lives of children and young people with complex backgrounds, you’ll fit right in.
Your Role:
As a Support Worker, you will act as a corporate parent—providing love, guidance, and a safe space for growth. Working within the Trauma Informed model, you’ll help young people feel understood and valued. Your daily duties will include:

- Protecting and safeguarding their welfare at all times
- Embedding Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles to promote trust, respect, and positive outcomes
- Supporting children and young people with complex needs through crisis intervention and structured routines
- Advocating for their wishes, thoughts, and feelings, ensuring their voices are heard
- Delivering high-quality care that addresses physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and social needs
- Assisting the Residential Home Manager in exceeding expectations during Inspections and Regulation 44 visits
- Participating in activities, appointments, and flexible shift patterns, including weekends and overnights
What You’ll Bring:
- A professional qualification such as QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare, or a willingness to achieve this within statutory timelines
- At least two years’ experience working with children or young people in residential care (desirable)
- Confidence engaging with young people who present complex emotional needs and challenging behaviours
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, late shifts, overnights, and bank holidays
