We require a female carer to work in the family home with a young person who has physical and learning disabilities
Your role is to accompany the YP with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing showering, meal preparation, home work, encouraging to participate in activities, providing supervision at all times, administration of medication, attendance to activities, ensuring her room is clean and tidy and clothes are laundered and ironed. You will be expected to complete a detailed record of intervention. Also as the young person experiences seizures to monitor respond and administer medication as needed.
You will accompany the young person into the community to minimise risks when crossing the road, supporting with social activities, initiating ideas as to what activities are available in the local area, accompanying to the local community as part of her rehabilitation plan and supporting her to connect to the world around her.
We are looking for a someone who has a lively personality, has varied interests, is trustworthy, has good time management and preferable can drive (there is an allowance paid for mileage)

Qualifications is essential level 2 Health and Social Care Qualification is as a minimum requirement and you must have at least 1-2 years experience working with children who have a learning/ cognitive disability.

Hours: negotiable, minimum 18 hours, x 6 hour shifts 2pm-8pm with the option to increase your hours after school, during school holidays and at weekends.
