To work as a member of a team and also able to work on own initiative providing a high quality of supportive services to people with a learning disability living in their own homes. The work will comprise a mixture of tasks ranging from personal care, practical and emotional support, household/domestic duties through to assisting clients with daily tasks such as shopping, medication, recreational/vocational interests and use of community facilities. The work will involve working unsociable hours, participation in implementing care plans and attendance at review meetings.
Experience and knowledge of working with individuals with ASD is essential for this post.

- To follow individual service users’ care plans to achieve the needs of each individual service user
- To effectively work with other support agencies and carers where appropriate to achieve individual assessed care needs
- To report to the manager any issues or concerns you or any service user may have
- To support and encourage support users in their daily chosen lifestyle
- To be responsive to expressed needs of individual service user
- To ensure all company’s care practices and procedures are adhered to at all times
- To ensure health and safety procedures are complied with at all times
- Maintain good working relationships within the team, with carers and other support agencies involved with service users.
