About The Role

Working hours: 35 hours per week between 8am to 6pm - Working across Neighbourhood 8, 9 and 10 (Whalley Range, Old Moat, Fallowfield and Burnage).
Contract type: Full-Time, Permanent

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). The Centre Assistant role will work as part of a Sure Start/Family Hub Team providing an efficient and welcoming service to all users of children’s centre’s within defined localities.

They will contribute to the smooth running of the Sure Start/Family Hub and Children's Centres by providing practical support that ensures resources are available and organised to meet the requirements of service delivery.

Maintain centre monitoring ICT systems, ensuring information is recorded efficiently and accurately and where appropriate share relevant information with staff team and partner agencies.

Ensure the efficient management, general maintenance, and security of the building, reporting any identified risks or issues as appropriate.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a Centre Assistant who can provide an efficient, courteous, welcoming, professional and helpful customer and reception service to all users of the centre and deal efficiently and courteously with all queries and correspondence, both written and verbal, from a wide range of internal and external customers.
You should have good ICT skills, be flexible, able to prioritise in order to meet deadlines and multi-task.
