An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Organiser to work within Hull City Councils Supporting Independence Team. To provide leadership and direction to a team of experienced Support Assistants working within the community. SIT is a large team covering the entire city of Hull, the post holder will be expected to work across the city. As we strive to improve the quality of life for a vast number of individuals and their families, the post holder will need to demonstrate flexibility and reliability and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
The post holder will direct staff to engage and implement Adult Social Care values, vision, and strategy to support people to have a life not a service and to safeguard them from harm. They will champion promoting peoples’ skills and abilities to optimise their independence and maintain their own support networks.
The post holder will assist in the delivery of the Active Recovery Service with constant competing demands. This service is facilitated 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, undertaking staff supervision and development, contributing to the management of the Teams operational functions and strategic directions. Providing short-term practical care and support to individuals in their own homes. The post holder will complete risk assessments and effective care planning to meet individual need, promoting and maintaining independence enabling people to remain in their own homes.

The following qualifications are essential:
Literacy and Numeracy G.C.S.E Grade C or above or equivalent level qualification.
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent level 3 qualification.
