Duties
- Assist in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and production.
- Oversee team management, ensuring staff are motivated and performing at their best.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with regulations.
- Support the Head Chef in menu planning and culinary development.
- Train new staff members on kitchen procedures and food preparation techniques.
- Help coordinate service during busy periods, including bartending when necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Skills
- Proven experience in a culinary role, with strong food preparation skills.
- Excellent leadership abilities to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in food production processes within a kitchen setting.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Bartending experience is advantageous but not essential.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
