Student/Academic Engagement & Wellbeing Coach - Delta Bespoke, part of Delta Education Trust. 37 hours per week, Term Time Only, Permanent.
£27,814 - £31,688 per annum, pro rata to £23,802-£27,117 per annum for term time only working, plus generous pension and sick pay scheme.
Due to expansion, we're looking for multiple Coaches to cover different areas including the New Forest and Portsmouth and the Dorset area, so a full driving licence with business insurance is essential.
About us:
We’ve been growing – a lot! In fact, we’ve expanded so much that we’re looking for more brilliant people to join our team. At Delta Bespoke (part of the Delta Education Trust), we design personalised learning packages for young people who are struggling in traditional school settings.
Our vision – Happiness in the Pursuit of Learning – is at the heart of everything we do. We combine academic learning with emotional development, helping students become confident, self-aware, resilient, and ready for their next step in life.
About the role:
As an Engagement & Wellbeing Coach, you’ll be the friendly, steady, and supportive presence our students need. You’ll meet them at home or out in the community, helping them rebuild confidence, develop emotional literacy, and re-engage with learning.
It’s a role where no two days are the same – one day you might be encouraging a student to try something new, the next you’re helping them plan a positive transition back into school or college. Always, you’ll be making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the trusted 1:1 coach students need, meeting them at home or in the community to help them re-engage with learning.
- Help students boost their confidence, self-esteem, and emotional literacy so they feel ready to take on new challenges.
- Encourage attendance and keep students motivated, even on the wobbly days.
- Keep an eye on emotional and engagement progress, celebrating the wins and spotting when extra support is needed.
- Work closely with families, schools, and the Delta team to make sure everyone’s on the same page.
- Create and adapt strategies to help students break through barriers and move towards their personal goals.
- Support transitions back into school, college, or other next steps so students feel prepared and supported.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records and complete any paperwork needed for schools or external agencies (because paperwork is part of the superhero toolkit too).
- Always put safeguarding first, following Delta Bespoke policies to keep students safe and supported.
What we’re looking for:
- A passionate, empathetic, and resilient individual with a genuine drive to make a difference.
- Someone who can build trust and positive relationships, particularly with young people who have special educational needs, including behavioural, emotional, and social challenges.
- Flexibility, patience, and the ability to adapt to whatever the day throws at you.
- Great communication skills, organisational skills, and a commitment to helping young people grow.
Why join us?
- The chance to transform lives, one student at a time.
- A supportive, values-driven team who will back you every step of the way.
- Opportunities to develop your skills and career with training and CPD.
- The joy of knowing your work truly matters.
