Responsible for the efficient running of the engineering stores facility. To provide a professional engineering stores to all customers by ensuring goods are checked in, adequate stocks maintained and dispatched to job sites on time.
Provide a customer focused support function to the wider business linking in with key departments to ensure the business can meet its objectives.
Responsibilities
Stock management – consignment and non-consignment
Main area of responsibility is Gisborne Close stores with input into management of other Avanti sites.
Ensure sufficient stock levels are available to maintain business objectives.
Agreeing holding figures
Effective planning and ordering replenishment
booking in deliveries
invoicing / pricing & associated admin.
Receiving, handling & storing goods for despatch
Assembly and distribution of engineering kits
Raising Purchase Orders (PO) following company process.
Action POs to Service Level Agreements
Coordinate third party haulage/courier contractors including managing admin.
Maintain field engineer van stock through regular replenishments.
Control of warehousing equipment and stocking levels.
Fulfil advisory role to other departments including scheduling/project engineer support with ordering and availability, procurement support for new and existing products and general support.
Equipment calibration management
Coordinate returning equipment to supplier/calibration contractors
Obtain quotes for repair work / calibration, follow PO process.
Coordinate returning equipment to field.
·Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) Management
Coordinate distribution of PRVs in line with inspection requirements under PSSR.
Ensure sufficient stock levels available for ongoing compliance and liaising with third party refurbishment contractors.
Coordinate return of PRVs at end of life to refurbishment centre.
Follow and abide by all procedures and policies relating to the Engineering Document Management System (EDMS)
· Role ideally suited to someone who enjoys a blend of manual work and management activities. Solution oriented individual happy to work alone and as part of the wider team.
· Working within a matrix organisation, reporting to TBC – Head of HSEQ & Technical Engineering
· Located at UGI House, Chesterfield with travel to other locations to support as required.
Profile
Functional:
· Minimum 5 years stores management or similar experience preferred.
· Full clean driving licence
· Good level of general education, articulate and numerate
· Competent in the use of Sharepoint, CRM, JDE and Microsoft packages specifically Excel & Word
Ability to understand legislation relating to the role
Personal:
· A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
· Effective verbal & written communication skills across all levels of the business.
· Good planning ability and organisational ability.
· Ability to understand the technical requirements for our products and services

Pay: £27,076.00-£30,000.00 per year
