Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team at Barclay House. The ideal candidate will have experience in speech and swallowing therapy, with a thorough understanding of physiology, medical terminology, and anatomy. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. The Speech Therapist will work closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans that enhance their communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language and swallowig abilities.
- Develop tailored therapy plans based on individual needs and progress.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Educate patients and their families about speech disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on the latest research and techniques in speech, language and swallowing therapy.
Experience
- Proven experience in swallowing and speech therapy is essential.
- Experience or/and undersanding of head acquired brain injuries.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and anatomy is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: £42,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
