The Specialist Dietitian will manage a clinical caseload, delivering safe and effective dietetic care to patients at Brooklands Hospital under the supervision of a clinical specialist dietitian. Responsibilities include responding to referrals, assessing nutritional needs, interpreting blood results, and developing educational resources.
They will ensure legal and professional accountability, maintain accurate records, and contribute to audits, service development, and staff training. The role also involves supervising support staff and students, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting the dietetic profession within and beyond the Trust.
The post holder must be willing to travel across Coventry and Warwickshire for meetings, supervision and CPD opportunities.

Manage a clinical caseload providing effective, and safe dietetic service, using specialist knowledge and skills related to the needs of the patient group.
Contribute towards the planning, development and direct delivery of dietetic care offered to people admitted to Brooklands Hospital under the supervision of the clinical specialist dietitian.
Receive and promptly respond to referrals.
Undertake development of nutritional resources to educate and treat people referred to the service.
Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including caseload management and direct clinical care and to work within professional and Trust guidelines and scope of practice.
