Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing and maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of outdoor spaces. The Landscape Technician will work closely with other team members to ensure that all landscaping projects are completed to the highest standards.
Duties
- Dig, plant, and maintain gardens, ensuring healthy growth and vibrant aesthetics.
- Operate and maintain various power tools and hand tools used in landscaping tasks.
- Perform landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, and pruning plants.
- Irrigate gardens and lawns effectively to promote optimal plant health.
- Build and maintain structures such as fences, patios, and garden beds as required.
- Carry out groundskeeping duties to ensure cleanliness and organisation of outdoor areas.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects efficiently.
- Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, identifying any issues that may arise.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to the operation of landscaping equipment.
- Proficiency in using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Experience in landscape maintenance practices including planting, pruning, and irrigation techniques.
- Ability to dig, build, and maintain various landscape features with attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- A keen eye for design and aesthetics in outdoor spaces.
