Job Summary: Site Supervisor – Concrete Production Plant
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the concrete production plant, ensuring efficient workflow, quality control, and compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills and supervising experience within a factory/construction setting. Starting salary from £32,000 (based on experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise plant operations, including batching, mixing, moulding and distribution of concrete.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high health & safety and quality standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.
- Train, mentor, and supervise plant workers to ensure efficiency and teamwork.
- Ensure relevant safety checks on equipment & vehicles are being undertaken and recorded
- Ensure works areas and the factory floor are kept tidy and free from hazardous material
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency
- Complete site reports and other records
- Attend site management meetings
Person Specification: Site Supervisor – Concrete Production Plant
Qualifications & Experience:
- Supervisory or leadership experience in an industrial setting. (Essential)
- A comprehensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Hold an IOSH or NEBOSH qualification or be willing to undertake a relevant qualification. (Essential)
- Previous experience in concrete production or construction materials manufacturing. (Desirable – full training will be given).
- Relevant qualifications in construction or engineering (Desirable).
