We are currently seeking a hands-on Structural Steel Site Supervisor to join our team on active steel erection projects. This is a working supervisor position — ideal for someone who enjoys being part of the action, not just overseeing it.
You will be responsible for supervising a team of steel erectors and subcontractors on site, while also working as a member of the squad during installation. You’ll lead from the front, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity are upheld throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily structural steel erection operations on active construction sites
- Actively participate in the alignment and erection of heavy steel
- Interpret and implement structural drawings
- Coordinate with site engineers, main contractor and subcontractors
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce health and safety procedures
- Maintain accurate daily site records, timesheets, and progress reports
- Ensure the team adheres to quality standards and project timelines
- Resolve site issues promptly with a practical, hands-on approach
Requirements
- Experience supervising and working in structural steel erection
- Ability to lead a small to medium-sized crew on site
- Skilled in steelwork installation, including slinging and bolting
- Competent in reading structural drawings and lift plans
- Strong awareness of on-site health & safety practices
- Certifications required : CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS
