About Us:
FJB Contracts is a well-established construction firm based in Montrose, delivering high-quality commercial and industrial projects across Scotland. We are expanding our team and seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee operations on our projects in Aberdeen.
The Role:
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the successful on-site delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. You will manage site operations, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain strict health & safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and site workers.
* Conduct and complete risk assessments, site inductions, and toolbox talks.
* Maintain site welfare facilities and ensure a safe working environment.
* Ensure project timelines are met and report on progress.
* Carry out site inspections and resolve any onsite issues efficiently.
* Monitor and manage materials, ensuring the correct stock is available.
* Read and interpret construction drawings accurately.
* Have a good understanding of all trades, ensuring work meets quality standards.
* Maintain strong IT skills for reporting, scheduling, and site management.
Requirements:
* SSSTS certification (or equivalent).
* First Aid qualification (preferred).
* Strong health & safety awareness and compliance.
* Previous trades background, with hands-on experience in construction.
* Ability to drive and access sites as required.
* Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve site challenges.
* Ability to work independently while liaising with team.
