Site Maintenance
£12.75 per hour, 42.5 hours per week
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us at Kirkcaldy Ford Centre. Kirkcaldy Ford Centre is part of a family owned Group of Ford Dealerships located in Fife and the Lothians.
About the role
To ensure the dealership site, buildings, and facilities are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and staff. The Site Maintenance Person will carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, groundskeeping, and general upkeep of the premises, while ensuring vehicle displays remain clean, safe, and presentable.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- General Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform basic repairs to fixtures, fittings, and furniture (e.g. door handles, locks, shelving, signage).
- Groundskeeping & Site Care
- Ensure external areas, car parks, and vehicle display areas are clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
- Carry out litter picking, jet washing, gritting/snow clearing in winter months.
- Vehicle Display Presentation
- Ensure all display vehicles (indoor and outdoor) are kept clean, polished, and presentable at all times.
- Monitor forecourt and showroom vehicles regularly for dirt, weather damage, or other issues, and take corrective action.
- Support sales team with repositioning, refuelling, or minor presentation tasks as needed.
- Health & Safety
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and report hazards.
- Assist with accident prevention by keeping walkways, entrances, and display areas safe and accessible.
- Cleaning & Presentation
- Ensure dealership signage and display boards are clean, presentable, and in good condition.
- Support to Dealership Operations
- Move equipment, furniture, and occasionally assist with vehicle movement (if appropriately licensed).
- Assist with preparation of the showroom and forecourt for promotional events.
- Support other departments with practical maintenance tasks.
Essential
