Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Weekend Shunter and Forklift Operator to join our team in Redditch. The successful candidate will be responsible for shunting trailers within the yard and operating forklifts to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- *Shunting Trailers:* Safely maneuver and position trailers in designated areas within the yard.
- *Forklift Operation:* Operate forklifts to load and unload goods, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- *Yard Management:* Maintain an organized yard and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- *Safety Compliance:* Follow all safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment.
- *Documentation:* Complete necessary paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- *Team Collaboration:* Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Counterbalance operator's certification (essential).
- Previous experience in a shunting or forklift operator role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a logistics environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Working Hours:
- Part-time position, working weekends (Saturday and Sunday), or a full time position, incorporating weekend work can be negoiated
