Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with a B2 & B1 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from lorries and containers.
- Move products to designated areas within the warehouse using a Warehouse Management System.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Perform basic repairs on equipment as necessary.
- Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of all materials handled.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency in the warehouse.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair.
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and documentation purposes.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required by the role.
- Experience in materials handling, shipping, and receiving is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
