Contract Type: Variable Hours (Full-Time, 40 hours per week across 5 days)
About the Role
Tian Tian Market is a leading Asian food retailer, offering a wide range of high-quality products from East and Southeast Asia. We are currently seeking dedicated and customer-focused Shop Assistants to join our team at our Aldgate store.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a welcoming shopping experience
- Assist customers with product selection and respond to queries professionally
- Handle customer complaints with empathy and efficiency
- Manage stock levels, including receiving deliveries and replenishing shelves
- Ensure accurate pricing and date checks on all products
- Operate tills and process cash and card payments securely
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store
- Support promotional activities and merchandising displays
- Monitor for security risks and report any concerns to senior staff
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role (Essential)
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (Desirable)
- Familiarity with East and Southeast Asian food products (Desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to manage stock and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have the right to work in the UK

Recruitment Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a face-to-face interview with the Store Supervisor, followed by a one-hour trial shift at our Canary Wharf location.
