Our culture is what sets us apart: inclusive, supportive, and built on trust. We champion fresh ideas, celebrate individuality, and back our people to grow and thrive. If you’re ready to shape a cleaner, safer future with a team that truly values you – Let’s go…
Are you passionate about making safety personal—not just procedural? We’re looking for a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Specialist who can truly connect with our field teams and inspire a culture of care, not just compliance. This role isn’t about ticking boxes; it’s about building trust, having meaningful conversations, and helping our people work safely because they want to—not because they’re told to.
As a SHE Specialist, you’ll be out on the ground, supporting teams in real time and leading the charge on safety initiatives that actually resonate. You’ll take ownership of a specialist service, combining your technical expertise with excellent communication skills to deliver impactful solutions. Whether it’s investigating incidents, analysing complex issues, or developing practical plans, you’ll be trusted to act with integrity and clarity—always driving brilliant service and promoting our values.
Why You'll Love This Role:
Be a Visible Safety Leader Regularly engage with field teams on-site and in depots—building trust through presence, listening, and meaningful conversations that influence culture, not just compliance.
- Support and Challenge Constructively Provide day-to-day SHE guidance to supervisors and operatives, confidently addressing concerns and encouraging safer ways of working with empathy and clarity.
- Drive Practical Safety Initiatives Lead or support investigations, audits, and campaigns that resonate with frontline teams—translating SHE language into relatable, actionable advice.
- Tailor Communication Across All Levels Adapt your approach when working with operatives, supervisors, or senior leaders—always keeping it clear, honest, and human.
- Champion Learning and Continuous Improvement Promote a culture of reflection by sharing successes and lessons learned, helping teams grow and evolve in how they think and feel about safety.
- Balance Compliance with Culture Know when to push and when to listen—bringing energy, authenticity, and a practical mindset to support teams under pressure while keeping safety at the heart of everything.
What You'll Bring:
Proven Safety Experience Previous experience in a SHE or safety-related role, ideally supporting field-based or operational teams with hands-on, practical insight.
- Relevant Qualifications & Regulatory Knowledge Holds NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent certifications, with a strong grasp of HSE legislation, risk management principles, and industry codes of practice.
- Confident and Approachable Presence Comfortable being out on the network—visible, proactive, and able to build credible relationships.
- Analytical and Detail-Oriented Skilled in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting—able to interpret data, assess risks, and support continuous improvement through evidence-based decisions.
- Strong Communicator and Influencer Communicates with clarity and impact across all levels, building effective relationships and helping others navigate change with confidence.
Please note that this position will close on Thursday 4th September 2025, with interviews scheduled to commence shortly afterwards.
