Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and dedicated Bus Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills in English, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle.
Duties
- Safely operate the bus according to scheduled routes and timetables.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information on routes and schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bus interior.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, especially those with disabilities or special needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Keep accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and any incidents that occur during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid PSV licence (Catagory D) with minimum number of points.
- Valid CPC card.
- Previous experience driving local service buses.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanour under pressure and handle difficult situations effectively.
