Ripon Farm Services is a well-established, family-owned agricultural dealership with 13 sites across Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire, and Nottinghamshire. As an authorised John Deere dealer, we provide industry-leading machinery, technology, and after sales support to the farming and turf sectors.
We are looking for a proactive Service Administrator to join our team and play a vital role in keeping our busy service department running efficiently.
The Role
As a Service Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the service team by coordinating daily administrative tasks, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring timely invoicing and documentation. This role is key to helping us deliver a high standard of customer service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries and direct them to the appropriate team member
- Open and manage work orders from start to completion
- Prepare service-related documents such as invoices and purchase orders
- Check and finalise job cards and work orders for accuracy
- Maintain service department records, filing systems, and databases
- Coordinate the warranty claim processes
- Schedule training and manage attendance records for the team
- Support the Service Manager with day-to-day tasks and reporting
- Carry out any other administrative duties to support the department’s goals
- Promote Ripon Farm Services and John Deere with professionalism and integrity
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with both written and verbal communication skills
- Able to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
- Familiarity with service or dealer management systems (desirable)
- Experience with warranty systems or agricultural/automotive environments is an advantage
