Senior Residential Support Worker
Location: Burton on Trent, Staffordshire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per year (inclusive of sleep-ins)

We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our growing team in Burton on Trent. You'll be working in a nurturing, child-focused environment where the well-being and development of young people is the top priority.
With two homes rated ‘Good’ and a third opening soon, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation committed to delivering outstanding care for children and young people.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior staff, offering guidance and supervision
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of tailored care plans
- Take part in team meetings, handovers, and case reviews
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Build strong relationships with the children, their families, and external professionals
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and care regulations
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 1 year experience in a children’s residential setting (preferred)
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role is highly desirable
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A compassionate, child-centred approach
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Knowledge of relevant child protection legislation and care standards
