Senior Lettings Consultant
Location: Whitchurch, Cardiff
Hours: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Chambers Estate Agents, an established and respected independent agency, is seeking an experienced Lettings Consultant to join our team in Whitchurch, Cardiff. This is a key position suited to a confident lettings professional with strong operational experience, excellent communication skills, and a clear understanding of industry legislation.
The successful candidate must hold an individual Rent Smart Wales licence and have a proven background in residential lettings and property management.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day operations of the lettings and property management portfolio
- Handling maintenance issues, liaising with contractors, and ensuring timely resolution
- Visiting properties where required to oversee maintenance work and ensure it is completed to a satisfactory standard
- Managing rent collection, rent arrears and conducting rent reviews
- Preparing and issuing legal notices in accordance with current legislation
- Acting as the main point of contact for landlords and tenants, maintaining clear and professional communication
- Supporting a collaborative and service-driven office environment
The ideal candidate will have:
- An active Rent Smart Wales individual licence
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a lettings or property management setting
- Strong working knowledge of residential lettings legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-based approach with strong organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
