Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced HR Officer. You will join our friendly HR Team and you will report directly to the HR Manager. You will work all around HR remit and support the Company’s continued growth. The role will require you to work both strategically and operationally, be confident and able to handle difficult situations, promote and add value to our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, and be involved in exciting projects.
The Role
- Being the first point of contact for the department
- Assisting with disciplinary & grievance process
- Minute taking
- Collaborate with managers to ensure compliance with HR policies, legal requirements and best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and initiatives
- Using HR best practices to assist the HR Manager and Director
- Updating and maintaining personnel records on our payroll & HR systems
- Handle staff enquiries such as complaints, change of details etc.
- Provide direct administrative supports as needed, including scheduling meetings and events, maintaining filing system, and mailing and shipping post and packages.
- Undertake duties with a focus on staff retention, engagement and wellbeing
- Special projects, as required and directed by the HR Manager and HR Director.
- Cover other team members when on holiday
- General HR Administration
- Supporting the HR & Admin person
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Previous HR experience essential (minimum 2 years)
- Excellent planning, organizational and prioritisation skills and ability to work deadlines
- Able to work autonomously, and comfortable with rapid change, as well as working as part of a wider team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels
- A passion for HR and a drive to progress and learn
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese desirable
- Numeracy and literacy to a good level
- Good interpersonal skills
- High levels of attention to detail
- A strong work ethic
- Good listening skills
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changing workloads
- Able to deal with confidential information discreetly and maintain confidentiality
