Job overview
We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to provide a comprehensive and effective HR and recruitment service across the School, Nursery and Sports Centre. Reporting to the Bursar and working closely with the Head, the postholder will provide a practical and proactive HR service for the end-to-end administration of the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities will include recruitment and appointment of staff, onboarding, safer recruitment checks, maintenance of the Single Central Record, contracts of employment, and providing HR advice and guidance as needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a busy generalist HR role and will be CIPD qualified at Level 3 or working towards. The successful candidate will have excellent people skills and be administratively highly efficient, with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines. Experience of working in an educational environment would be considered favourably but is not essential.
This is a full-time position working all year round. We offer an excellent and friendly working environment, and our benefits package includes a competitive salary, free lunches during term time and free on-site parking.
