Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking to appoint a Senior Content Officer, to join the Communications team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:
- Creating high-quality, engaging video and digital content
- Telling powerful stories that support the Mayor’s vision and regional priorities
- Driving reach and engagement across our social and digital channels

We’re looking for a skilled visual communicator with a strategic mindset, creative flair and strong technical ability in digital content creation – particularly video and social media.

This role will be pivotal in:
- Supporting the Mayor and senior leaders by capturing and sharing impactful digital stories from across the region
- Developing and delivering compelling video and multimedia content
- Ensuring content is aligned with brand, accessibility, and messaging guidelines
- Completing on-the-ground content creation at events, visits and engagements
- Providing insights and analytics to inform and evolve our digital communications strategy
This is a 6 month fixed-term role.
