Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure a high standard of care.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to senior care.
- Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role within a care home setting is essential.
- Supervisory experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with residents and their families.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents as required.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated experienced Senior Care Assistant (with minimum SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care) to join our team at Briery Park Care Home, Thornhill, Dumfries.
This role is a full time position with full time hours based on 11 hour shifts daily over 2-3 days or 2-3 nights per week whichever is required by the service to cover holiday and sickness periods.
This is a rare opportunity to join our full compliment of Senior Carers working together to provide the best direct care and medication administration daily.
Located within village with daily bus services and local shops, Co-op, Spar, Boots, Restaurants, Pubs, Pharmacy, Bank, local schools and various other businesses.
Digital Rota on app with shifts available 3 months in advance.
medicationadministration experience required.

Shift patterns. 8am-8pm, 8pm-8am
