Job Purpose
To plan, implement and supervise the provision of quality care in conjunction with Service Users. To ensure residents retain their dignity and individuality. To be actively involved in the daily activities of the Care Home, while maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications
Required:
· Genuine interest in working with the relevant Service User group
· Good communication and organisational skills
· Confident team player
· Satisfactory Policy Check, and check against the ISA list
· Ability to work on own initiative
· Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programme
Desired:
· Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group
· NVQ Level 3 in Care (or working towards)
· Previous supervisory experience
· Experience/qualification in the Safe Handling of Medicines
Main Responsibilities
· Lead and support the care team to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered and recorded
· Provide personal care and support to residents, ensuring dignity, comfort and respect are maintained
· Assist with mobility, meals, activities, and daily living needs
· Support with the writing, reviewing and implementation of care plans and risk assessments
· Administer and record medication in line with company policy (where applicable)
· Supervise, mentor and train junior staff members
· Monitor residents’ wellbeing and liaise with external professionals as required
· Promote a safe, clean and welcoming environment for residents, staff, families and visitors
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.80 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
