We are seeking an experienced individual to support our SENDCo in the delivery of interventions and support programmes to support our children with additional needs.
The individual should be passionate and energetic, with sound knowledge of the EYFS and confidence undertaking key person responsibilities for children with special educational needs and disabilities, as well as building outstanding partnerships with families.
Individual will be responsible for completing, and supporting the SENDCO to complete;
- Written Observations using Early Years Outcomes
- Planning for next steps
- Updating of Support Plans alongside SENDCo
- Base-lining and Tracking Children's progress closely
- Working alongside other agencies, i.e. SALT, OT, Paediatrician
- Leading intervention programmes daily alongside children, overseeing delivery of Early Talk Boost.
- Leading parent/carer support sessions and groups
Individual will oversee the day to day running of a small classroom and sensory room to use with children 1:1 or in small groups to deliver interventions and strategies as planned for alongside the SENDCo.
40 hour contract, working Monday-Friday: 8.30-17.00
Individual should be able to pass DBS and reference checks, the individual should hold a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant subject but preferably will hold a Degree, alongside in date paediatric first aid and experience working within a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' Early Years Setting. We offer an attractive salary dependent upon experience, and paid paperwork time each month.
We are able to support practitioners in completing their Level 3 SENDCo qualification, Level 5 Advanced Practitioner Qualification, or Early Years Teacher Status, depending on your individual circumstances, this can be discussed further at interview.
