Job Overview
We are seeking a NVQ level 2 minimum skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and related trades, with the ability to work on various projects that require precision and attention to detail. This role involves working with a range of materials and tools to create, assemble, and install structures and fixtures.
Responsibilities
- Construct and install wooden structures, frameworks, and fittings according to specifications.
- Perform joinery tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required for the movement of materials and equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Conduct painting and finishing tasks as needed to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Skills
- Proficient in joinery techniques with experience of installing fire doors.
- Strong ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as part of daily duties.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to plumb fixtures accurately for proper installation.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Must have CSCS skilled workers card
- Asbestos Awareness Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
