An overview of what the jobs may entail includes:
- Conducting regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
- Monitoring surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure the safety of the facility.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid when necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when required during investigations or emergencies.
- Maintain clear communication with team members and management regarding security concerns.
Skills
- Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Experience with CCTV systems and monitoring equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution. This role is essential for ensuring a secure environment, making it vital for candidates to be vigilant, reliable, and committed to upholding safety standards at all times.
