Overview:

We are seeking a Scheduler to join our PMO team within the defence sector. This individual will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and oversight of integrated programme and project schedules across a complex portfolio. Working closely with Project Managers and Risk Managers, the Scheduler will ensure delivery alignment, provide critical path and scenario analysis, and support informed decision-making across the business.



Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain integrated programme and project schedules, highlighting dependencies and critical paths.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to track progress, identify schedule risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the PMO in delivering accurate and timely schedule performance reports and forecasts.
  • Provide scenario-based scheduling insights to aid strategic planning and resource decision-making.
  • Monitor resource usage across the project portfolio, providing advice on load balancing and resourcing needs.
  • Work with Risk Managers to integrate risk impacts into schedule forecasts.
  • Maintain data in PPM tools and ensure alignment between plans, resource data, and progress reports.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of scheduling processes, standards, and tools.



Qualifications and Experience:

  • Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, APM).
  • Experience in project scheduling within the defence or shipbuilding sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and enterprise-level PPM tools (e.g., Primavera or similar).
  • Strong understanding of integrated planning and critical path analysis.



Note : Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with UK National security clearance required for certain roles.*
