Start Time: Weekdays from 5:30 PM | Saturdays from 11:45 AM
Hours: 0–3 hours (Mon–Fri), 3–7 hours (Sat)
We are currently seeking a reliable and efficient delivery driver to join our team on a zero-hour basis. This position involves daily weekday evening runs and a regular Saturday shift, delivering items from a pharmacy to various locations across the North East.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: Starting from 5:30 PM, the run ranges from 0–3 hours daily.
- Saturday: Starting at 11:45 AM, typically lasting 3–7 hours.
- Additional cover: Opportunities available to cover other drivers’ holidays and absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect the van and deliveries from the pharmacy each day.
- Carry out timely and professional deliveries.
- Return the van to the pharmacy at the end of the run.
- Lift and carry heavier items as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Good knowledge of North East England and surrounding areas.
- Ability to follow Google Maps or similar navigation tools.
- Physically fit – capable of heavy lifting.
- Well-presented and well-spoken, with excellent customer service skills.
- Punctual, dependable, and efficient.
This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible work with a consistent weekend shift, and the opportunity to pick up additional hours. Experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate.
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
