Drugs2U Pharmacy is a trusted community pharmacy dedicated to providing top-notch healthcare services. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team on a self-employed basis. This role requires experience with care homes, flu/COVID-19 vaccinations, and proficiency with the TITAN PMR system is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications using the PMR system, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Manage and process prescriptions for care home residents, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and professional standards.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, ensuring patient safety and proper documentation.
- Serve as the primary contact between the pharmacy and care homes, coordinating prescription deliveries and resolving medication queries.
- Deliver excellent customer service, offering advice and support to patients, care home staff, and the wider community.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser, particularly in working with care homes.
- Proficiency with the TITAN PMR system is preferred.
- Desirable but not essential, experience using eMAR systems such as CareMeds & Atlas.
- Experience in administering flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with care home staff and patients.
- Highly organised with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule effectively.
