• Food preparation including bread and cookie baking
• Ensure food storage and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Comply with Food Code of Practice
• Till Operator
• Monitoring stock levels
• Checking in deliveries
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Follow security & safety procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers
• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet the Subway® brand and customer expectations
• Work as a team member
• Deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales and catering for customer needs.

As a Sandwich Artist™ you will serve and add value to customer needs in an efficient and friendly manner. In this role you will promote Subway® brand awareness and ensure hygiene standards are met.

Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales and/or customer service is desirable but not essential because you will receive full training and undertake various University of Subway® courses. What’s more important is a winning attitude. If you’re currently working in retail or in a restaurant, perhaps you are studying and are looking to start a career in the food industry. Job Summary:
As a Subway Sandwich Artist, you will be responsible for preparing sandwiches efficiently, delivering excellent customer service, proactively engaging with customers, and maintaining a clean and safe customer-facing environment. You will prioritise tasks that directly impact the customer experience during opening hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, and salads consistently according to Subway standards and formulas to ensure Customers receive the same great customer experience every time.
• Maintain speed targets so Customers are not having to wait unnecessarily.
• Engage with customers proactively by asking simple social questions and providing friendly service, without reducing speed of service.
• Prioritise customer-facing tasks and visible cleanliness especially when busy.
• Maintain food safety at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth operations and constant communications during busy periods.

Metrics for Success:

• Customer engagement score (e.g., asking a social question and creating a friendly experience).
• Order accuracy and speed targets.
• Cleanliness of dining area (visible to customers) during operating hours.
• Adherence to consistency in operations, cleaning, and food preparation.
• Demonstrated prioritization of critical tasks over easier but less impactful ones.
