About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Logistics Coordinator to join the team at our site near Reading, Berkshire. You'll play an important role in supporting our sales team to get orders processed and out to our customers. This role requires a bit of an all-rounder so, if you have administration skills but are also happy to move machinery around the yard and unload lorries with a forklift, we would love to hear from you. You must also be able to deliver outstanding customer service in a friendly yet professional manner to both our customers and sales team.
Responsibilities
- Taking delivery of and unloading machinery utilising forklifts and telehandlers where necessary.
- Receiving machinery into stock and ensuring correct labelling is applied.
- Update systems to track machinery movements.
- Ensure the yard is kept tidy, accessible and in line with health and safety requirements.
- Assist in coordinating the logistics of vehicles.
- Liaise with customers and support the administration function of the depot as needed.
- Highlight potential delays and work with the wider team to help find solutions to ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.
- Processing of warranty registrations.
The Ideal Candidate
Service industry experience is preferable or an interest in machinery and vehicles / practical experience with them would be an advantage,
- A team player who can work well under pressure and maintain calmness during busy periods.
- A great communicator with exceptional customer service skills.
- Comfortable using a range of IT systems with a willingness to learn new systems.
- Administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in a logistics environment would be an advantage.
- Experienced in using forklifts (we can renew or help you to obtain licences if needed).
- Due to the location of our branch, it is important that you have your own transport.
