We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Project Activator to support families across Aberdeen through sport and physical activity. This part-time role is ideal for someone who believes in the power of movement to strengthen family bonds, improve wellbeing, and build inclusive communities. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment between Sport Aberdeen and Action for Children’s Priority Family team, working to make sport and exercise accessible and enjoyable for all.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering inclusive sport and exercise sessions tailored for young people and families in community settings.
- Collaborating with schools, local organisations, and community centres to identify and engage families who would benefit from support.
- Promoting physical activity as a tool for improving mental health, relationship building, and overall wellbeing.
- Supporting Active Schools programmes and events that encourage young people and their families to participate.
- Gathering feedback and monitoring impact to help shape future delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children, families, or in community sport settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, empathetic, and proactive approach to engaging diverse communities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Passionate about using sport to create positive change.
