Room Leader – Early Years
Location: London SW12
Salary: £31,000 – £33,000 per year
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Early Years Practitioner to step into a Room Leader position at a unique and forward-thinking nursery setting. The nursery is co-located with a residential care home, offering a rich intergenerational learning environment. We provide high-quality education and care for early years children within an inclusive setting that welcomes all faiths and none.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of nursery practitioners in the pre-school classroom
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents and carers
- Supervise, mentor, and support staff members
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and maintain high-quality care and education
What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its application
- Proven leadership experience within an early years setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Passion for early childhood education and commitment to high-quality care
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and a strong team player
