The Role
We are looking for Room attendants who would enjoy working in the quaint Old Hall Hotel & the luxury Buxton Crescent Hotel. The Room Attendant will work with the Head Housekeeper or Housekeeping supervisor, responsible for ensuring the highest possible standards of cleanliness of guest rooms and that guest supplies are replenished. You will also be responsible for service areas, corridors, equipment, appearance, uniforms and maintenance by reporting defects in the rooms to maintenance and hand any lost property.
Overview of the role
Part time hours of work 9.30 till 3pm (Very flexible - can work 1, or up to 5 days, and extend to work later, should you wish)
- Liaise with the housekeeper on areas to be cleaned
- Ensuring doors to occupied rooms are never left unsecured
- Never allowing a guest access to individual rooms without first establishing their right to be in the room
- Clean and service rooms according to the standards required by the hotel
- Strip departure rooms as soon as they become vacant
- Ensure that the trolley is set up correctly and that are stores collected
- Clean, inspect and make beds, and report any damage or stains to Head Housekeeper or Supervisor
- Report any maintenance issues and any soft furnishings and upholstery in need of change, repair or cleaning
- Clean bathrooms, walls, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings
- Vacuum carpets, upholstery and soft furnishings
- Pay special attention to any additional cleaning, maintenance, VIP rooms
- Replenish all guest supplies as directed by the Head Housekeeper
- Ensuring that complimentary gifts are distributed to the pre-allocated room
- Responsible for clearing the corridor of all equipment and that it is stored neatly and tidily in-service areas
- Hand in all lost property to Head Housekeeper or supervisor, marked with room number and date when found
- Complete spring cleaning of rooms as required and or requested by the Head Housekeeper or Supervisor
- Check any pillows, duvets, valances which may need changing
- Check any room which may not require service, or has a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and report or handover to Head Housekeeper
- To maintain hygiene standards at all times whilst cleaning the room and bathroom, especially when cleaning food & beverage items such as tea & coffee facilities
- Being accountable for your key card at all times whilst signed out for your shift
ESSENTIAL
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, Efficient and pro-active
- Confident and effective communicator who can converse at all levels
- High levels of personal presentation and grooming

The hotel has a stunning restaurant, bar and incorporates the magnificent Assembly Rooms, Card Room, and conference meeting rooms for business meetings and weddings.
