Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Roofer/joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and fabricating roofs, with proficiency in various roofing techniques and materials. Must be able to do all aspect of roofing timber work building roof structures traditional cut roofs for domestic extensions. must be confident doing full replacement fascia's/soffits gutters. must be confident in all aspects of roof tiling & slating.
the ideal candidate will have experience in taking the roof to the finish line from bulidng the frame to felting/battening and tiling.
the work is a mixture of roof replacements/ new roofs on extensions and roofing repairs.
must have experience in all aspects of domestic roofing and be confident working at heights on scaffolding and cat ladders.
responsibilities
- Perform roof installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks according to project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Inspect roofs for damage, leaks, or other issues and provide accurate assessments and recommendations.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions, ensuring precision and accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing updates and addressing any concerns or questions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a roofer, with a minimum of 10 years in the field.
- Extensive knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- must have Valid driver's license own van and own tools
the job is paid on a daily rate working hours 8-4 however this can vary with some days finishing early and other days working late due to weather conditions.
