Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for assembling, fabricating, and installing wooden structures and fixtures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Duties
- Assemble and install wooden structures such as doors, windows, and furniture.
- Fabricate custom woodwork according to specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely.
- Perform painting and finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, to complete projects efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on roofs or at heights.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner or in a similar role within the construction industry. NVQ level 2 minimum
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to joinery work.
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and building regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
