Join our team of Exception Management Specialists, operating within defined processes and procedures, adhering to service level agreements, and prioritizing tasks effectively. You will play a key role in monitoring systems and tools to identify, classify, and resolve issues and exceptions efficiently. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and apply learnings proactively. Use root cause analysis to propose preventative actions that support operational excellence. Escalate complex and critical exceptions to the Exception Management Lead. Maintain accurate records of issues and resolution steps, and contribute to reporting for analysis of resolution effectiveness.

How you create impact

  • Identify exceptions within processes, systems, or transactions – monitor data and systems to detect anomalies, analyse, root cause, classify and prioritise based on severity & impact. To re-align processes and highlight system gaps for correction/improvement.
  • Efficiently resolve exceptions & prevent recurrence – developing corrective actions for immediate resolution, collaborate with relevant teams to resolve in a timely manner, propose longer term improvements to prevent in future.
  • Internal team audit support to ensure compliance and take feedback on audit results and action to ensure consistency & improvement.
  • Updating Exception Management Lead and any relevant stakeholders on exception status.
  • Coordinate with all other relevant parties as required eg Customer, haulier and others.
  • Accurate tracking & reporting of exceptions.
  • Maintaining records of issues, resolutions & trends.
  • Support in Lean principles to adapt and implement best practice.

What we would like you to bring

  • Experience with import processes, customs procedures, and compliance, including customs amendments.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis, and the ability to propose corrective and preventative actions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and expectations effectively.
  • Customer service focus, ensuring a high level of support and responsiveness.
  • Excellent prioritization and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexibility and accountability, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to resolve escalations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ideally with knowledge of Lean methodology.
  • Competence in reporting and analysis, supporting data-driven decision-makin
