A bit about the role…
- Reporting to the Retail Planning Manager, responsible for developing the tools for the National Account Team (NAT) to champion and support delivery of key initiatives across the Retail Channel.
- To continually improve retail execution, in line with annual planning priorities and Planning, Comms & Training framework within Retail Strategy & Operations.
- Ensuring that retailers are kept at the heart of retail plans by supporting an effective Retailer contact model to achieve sales, profit and Good Cause contribution targets in line with Allwyn’s fourth licence bid commitments.
- The team owns the development and execution of the Go to Market planning process which ensures all Retail priorities, timings, requirements are aligned to the overarching delivery of the consumer plan.
What you’ll be doing…
- Support improving Retail channel operations, capabilities, processes, and tools.
- Understand and develop the requirements of GEM suite capability for the NAT user base.
- Support development of ways to deliver industry leading in store execution of The National Lottery across the Retail estate, taking into account format and sector nuances, by retailer.
- Support the Retail Planning Manager to shape and implement the strategic priorities within Retail Working Groups (PCT) and Go To Market frameworks for the NAT
- Collaborate cross functionally to feed recommendations and prioritisation of activities for all Retail teams.
- Monitor and action any new requests for the RS&OPs team via internal process.
- Support the building of yearly and quarterly Retail Contact Model and the delivery of briefings, via face to face conferences &/or virtual meetings to the Retail Sales Team through Call Smart.
- Support the NAT through monitoring and flagging of issues through Champ groups.
- Support the building of decks and documents to cascade information to retail functions through their team meetings and regular workgroups such as Retail Channels Steering Group.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain team on NAT bootstock orders.
- Support with the scratchcard returns process through the collation of Scratchcard return bags that are to be sent to retailers during a closure.
- Work with the Operational Sales Team to build and provide call files for activities that are being supported across Retail
- Working closely with Retail Sales Managers on day to day issue resolution and cascading any relevant risk or escalation.
- Working with the other Retail Planning Executives to attend weekly game status meetings and feed back to the planning team.
What experience we’re looking for…
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of retail execution including brand activation.
- Experience and knowledge of successful selling and influencing skills.
- Skilled in prioritisation and multi-task management under pressure.
- Ability to understand key business operational reporting.
- Advanced ability to use the Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite
- Proven experience working cross-functionally to deliver complex projects with multiple deliverables and priorities.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills and is able to present confidently to senior managers and teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercially minded- able to identify opportunities.
- Naturally curious, challenges the norm, whilst being receptive and considerate to other ways of approaching things.

- Ability to take a brief, put your stakeholders and retailers at the heart of your thinking, and transform this into actionable asks to either improve operations or bring new idea to life.
