About the Role
As a Team Leader within the Yorkshire Pathway team here at Bedspace covering Hull / East riding, you’ll play a key role in guiding and supporting a team of dedicated Support Workers, ensuring that together, we provide the highest level of support to our Young People (Service Users).
We provide a range of housing and support packages dependent on the needs of the young person; this includes Solo, Group Living, Hybrid ,Trainer flats as well as Outreach services.
We ensure all our young people have the tools they need to live independently and become a positive part of society. We do this through our work with the ASDAN resettlement training system which is embedded into the work we carry out with our Young People.
Working closely with the Team Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for maintaining our quality standards, meeting OFSTED requirements, and making sure the team is always delivering their best. You’ll also have the chance to step in and lead when the Team Manager is unavailable, keeping things running smoothly and making a real difference every day.

Note: Salary will be £30,282 if you join before August when the pay will increase to £31,766 .
Key Responsibilities:.
- Lead on the move-in and out process for service users, ensuring all paperwork is completed to a high standard and service users receive a warm welcome and a full induction.
- To deputise for the team manager when necessary, line manage staff and work alongside the management team to ensure high standards are maintained in each property, ensuring quality and safe support to service users.
- Reduce the number of voids (empty beds) and support the growth of Bedspace by planning effectively for move-on and liaising with Team Managers and placement teams regarding new referrals.
- Act as an enabler by assessing, in consultation with Team Managers and Support Workers, those service users who are ready to be transitioned to supported tenancies, ensuring that the appropriate support and benefits will be in place.
- Work collaboratively with regional teams and the wider business to improve Bedspace and embed good practice models.
- Assist Support Workers with the delivery of the ASDAN programme, improving the independence skills and educational achievement of service users.
- Assist the Team Manager with induction of new staff and development of existing staff.
- Managing a team of 9 - 10 staff.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience in residential/outreach support for children/young.
- Thorough knowledge of safeguarding.
- Have an NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification, equivalent or willing to work towards.
- Travel is essential so must hold a full Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle insured for business use.
- Computer literate - experience with MS Office
- Knowledge of OFSTED standards and local authority statutory duties.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, an employment background check, satisfactory references and verification of right to work in the UK.
