Looking for an immediate start. Situated in a Residential Care Home (up to 34 residents), You will be responsible for delivering a high quality catering service, planning menus with residents which are varied and interesting to meet individual tastes and dietary requirements.
You will work with another cook and an assistant, to cover nine hour day (8am to 5.30pm ) shift (with a 30minute break), seven days a week. The work pattern will include the requirement to work alternate weekends. Your main hours per week will be 36 covering four days but there is a requirement to cover for absences as well. This will require some weeks working longer hours.
You will ensure the highest standards of nutrition, hygiene and safety, with good planning and stock control abilities.
Excellent people skills are required to maintain positive relationships with residents and members of staff.
You will need to have an in date minimum level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or be prepared to undertake training toward this. Only applicants with relevant previous experience will be contacted. The position is subject to a satisfactory enhanced level DBS check, which is payable by the candidate but this can be taken from the first wage.
